In the Spring of 2021, the St. Lawrence Finance Council approved moving forward with the project, and funding came from parishioners as a special project.
The sanctuary in any parish should be the focal point and draw the congregation’s attention upon entering the space. Plans were made to remove the tile on the back wall of the Sanctuary, install custom wood-workings, incorporate Mary and Joseph statues, as well as doing something to accent the tabernacle.
The project was originally hoped to be completed by Spring, 2022. Due to supply chain issues and labor shortages, the project was mostly completed in January, 2023. There are still a few finishing touches to be done, along with the addition of the niche which will house the statue of our patron, St. Lawrence.
